Two problems that one card solves
The first — something runs out unexpectedly. The dishwasher tablets finish in the evening, and the shop that stocks them is already closed.
The second — the wrong one gets bought. You remember only the colour of the packet or the brand, and end up guessing at the shelf which one it was last time.
Both are solved the same way: save the exact product and note roughly how long one pack lasts.

Questions people ask
Do I have to track everything in the house?
No, and you should not. Track the ten or so items where running out is genuinely irritating, and ignore the rest.
Can the reminder add it to the shopping list automatically?
On its own, no. When the reminder fires it carries an Add to list button: one tap and the item goes to the shared list, where whoever is shopping will see it.
Does the app count what is left?
Not literally. Specsy does not count tablets, filters or other refills one by one. You say roughly how long a pack lasts, and the app works from that. It is simpler and more realistic: nothing has to be ticked off by hand, and the reminder still arrives around the time the supply is running low.
