The list is in the wrong order
An ordinary list is written in the order things came to mind: milk, bin bags, cheese, batteries, yoghurt. Follow it literally and you will keep walking back across the shop.
At some point people stop checking the list and start shopping from memory — which is exactly when something gets forgotten.
In Specsy nothing has to be sorted by hand. You add items as usual, and in the shop the app shows them by section, in the order of your route.
And if Specsy puts an item in a section other than the one it sits in at your shop, just move it — the app remembers and puts it there next time.

Different shops, different routes
Every shop has its own layout, so a single order of sections does not work for all of them.
In Specsy each shop is set up separately: you arrange the sections once, in the order you normally walk the aisles, and from then on the list sorts itself for the selected shop.
The route can be shared with your family, so the shopping appears in the same convenient order for everyone.
Questions people ask
Do I have to assign a section to every item?
No. Common items are grouped for you, and anything unrecognised sits in a general section you can move it out of. If a section is wrong, just move the item where it belongs — next time the app puts it there straight away.
Does it work for a shop I have never been to?
The list is still grouped by section, which already beats a random order. But Specsy does not guess the route: it uses the order of sections you set for your own shop, and an unfamiliar one may be arranged differently.
Can two of us split the sections?
There is no "this section is yours" feature. But every item can be assigned to a person — the list then shows For Andrei — and a tick appears for everyone at once, so nothing gets bought twice.
